Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for candidates who would be interested in providing volunteer care coordination (House Mom) for the Star of the North residents. There are opportunities for day, evening, or night shifts on both weekends and weekdays.
You may be interested in presenting a seminar to our residents utilizing a special skill such as budgeting, crafts, nutrition, or perhaps helping tutor or give a motivational talk.
There will be ongoing cleaning days for routine maintenance of the home
Our residents will need arrangements made to have rides to medical appointments
Keeping the moms, babies & staff in prayer is an important aspect of our ministry
As needed determined with each individual mother
You can help the moms develop healthy meal plans
We hope to have a Volunteer pared with each women in the residence to attend appointments and assist in getting communication back to SON maternity home. This is to help meet the medical needs as they arise
Employment Opportunities
We are looking for candidates who would be interested in providing paid care coordination (House Mom) for the Star of the North residents. There are opportunities for day, evening, or night shifts on both weekends and weekdays.
We are looking for candidates who would be interested in providing non-paid care coordination (House Mom) for the Star of the North residents. This individual would be provided free room and board.
We are looking for Social Work, Nursing, or health services, public health/nursing related degree students candidates who would be interested in providing night care coordination for the Star of the North. The main role is to provide Parent Support, Ensure Curfew and Security, Assist with high-needs babies – call back up; and Communication Handoffs at beginning and end of shift.
We are looking for candidates who would be interested in oversight and supervision to the SON program and care coordination supervision for the Star of the North Maternity Home residents. The home is located in East Duluth and Off street parking is available.
